CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY

Unfortunately, we have seen a trend recently of a 10% "no-show" rate, that is patients who do not cancel their appointments and do not show on the day of the appointment. This means that on an average week as many as 15 patients do not call ahead to cancel and then do not show for their appointment.

This situation results in a serious impact on the healthcare of those patients who want an appointment with the doctor but who are unable to get an appointment due to a very full schedule.

Dr. Leavitt works six full days per week as he endeavors to do everything possible to be available to help heal those with foot problems. He sees urgent and emergent patients on the day of their need, including Sundays. He is committed to you.

Out of respect for those patients who need to see Dr. Leavitt and out of respect for Dr. Leavitt's time, we have developed a no-show policy that we kindly request your adherence to.

There are always exceptions, but in general we kindly request that you call and re-schedule an appointment no less than 48 hours ahead. We will make every effort to re-schedule you in a timely manner.

If you do not call and do not show for your appointment, you could be charged a $50.00 missed-appointment fee.

We trust that you will understand this policy and help us to continue to provide timely health care for all who need it.
